Create a Sashiko Stitch Tote — Friday Morning
Nov 13, 2026, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Instructor: Candi Rawlins
Learn the distinctive style of patterned Japanese embroidery. Absorb the rich history and meditative art of Sashiko, or "little stabs" embroidery. Participants will transfer stitching templates onto tote bags, learn the basic straight hand-sewing stitch, then stitch with threads in a variety of colors while practicing consistency. Leave with as many patterns as your bag will hold and threads to keep stitching at home, plus a resource list for future practice.
Skill Level: All Levels
Materials Provided: Tote bags, threads, and needles.
Students Must Bring: Nothing required.
I understand that classes are non-refundable. If a class does not meet its minimum size, refunds will be issued within 7 days after the festival to the original form of payment.
